The boxing event taking place tonight (Sat., Aug. 26, 2017) from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada at 9:00 p.m. ET, live on pay-per-view (PPV), doesn’t feature any active pro wrestlers, but it’s a show Vince McMahon wishes he was producing.
WWE does have some ties to the superfight between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor – Floyd’s 1 – 0 at WrestleMania in addition to being 49 – 0 in the ring, after all, and McMahon would all but break the bank to get Conor to show up for a future ‘Mania, especially considering how much trash he’s talked about pro wrestlers.
But even if those things weren’t the case, we’d still be on this as it’s the most talked about combat sports event in a long time.
